The Altar Cloth with Purple Cross and Crown of Thorns Lace combines carefully crafted ornamentation with some of the most representative symbols of the Christian faith. Purple and gold embroidery stands out against the white fabric, creating an elegant contrast particularly suited to dressing the altar during the penitential seasons.

Symbolism and design:

The central feature of the composition is the Christian Cross, embroidered in purple and surrounded by a Crown of Thorns enhanced with delicate gold details. Together, these elements evoke the Passion of Christ and His sacrifice on the Cross, giving the altar cloth profound religious meaning.

The purple color reinforces the liturgical character of the design. Traditionally associated with penance, preparation and conversion, purple is particularly used during the seasons of Advent and Lent.

The decoration is completed by delicate botanical and floral motifs arranged around the Cross. Along the lower section, openwork areas and curved ornamental shapes embroidered in purple incorporate subtle gold details, adding visual lightness and richness to the overall design.

The decorative lace is applied to the 3 visible sides of the altar, providing a balanced and carefully finished appearance from different viewpoints within the sanctuary.

Each altar cloth is made to order according to the exact dimensions of your altar, allowing it to be adapted to churches, parishes, chapels and other liturgical spaces. The maximum available size is 4.5 m x 1.3 m.

As this is a custom-made product, the estimated delivery time is 25 days and returns are not accepted.
