The main features of this lace are the Alpha (Α) and Omega (Ω), the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. Within Christian tradition, they represent Christ as the beginning and the end of all things, referring to the words found in the Book of Revelation: “I am the Alpha and the Omega”.
The letters are embroidered primarily in purple and enhanced with delicate gold details. This combination adds depth and elegance to the design, while purple reinforces its liturgical character as a color traditionally associated with preparation, penance and conversion.
