Crucem et Vitam Ciborium: Sacred Design and Capacity The Crucem et Vitam Ciborium is an essential piece of goldsmithing, created to ensure the utmost dignity in the reservation of the Eucharist. With a total height of 22 cm, it features a solid polished brass structure that stands out for its timeless elegance.

Capacity and Technical Details The cup has a diameter of 12 cm, allowing it to hold approximately 135 hosts (based on 3 cm diameter hosts). In accordance with liturgical norms, the interior of the cup is gold-plated, ensuring that the sacred species come into contact with noble metal.

Compatibility and Storage This ciborium has been designed to match its corresponding chalice (ref. 10-105), creating a harmonious set on the altar. For proper transport and protection, it is compatible with the storage case (ref. 10-451).

Maintenance Instructions

  • Cleaning: Wash by hand only using a soft cloth and mild soap. Dry immediately to maintain the shine of the brass and gold.
  • Safety: Not dishwasher safe. Avoid the use of aggressive chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the gold-plated cup.
  • Storage: It is recommended to store in a dry environment to prevent the natural oxidation of brass.
